Some great new functionality has been delivered with Peoplesoft Test Framework. Check out Peoplebooks
You are now able to automate tests within Peoplesoft and provide test cases for certain scenarios within the tool.
You can record and playback these tests within your environment.
1. Download or apply current tools release to be 8.51.xx
2. Install Peoplesoft Test Framework application. Current release is 8.51.05
3. Create Execution Options within the tools to reference your URL and database.
I would also recommend to toggle Skip PageSave to Yes within the "Options" tab, if you do not want to commit or save anything to your database.

Thanks for sharing your knowledge and it's been really helpful for the starters like me.
I have a question regarding PeopleSoft Upgrade.From HCM 9.0 onwards,PeopleSoft has changed the upgrade process by creating a project called UPGCUST to include all customizations in the copy of production and then later in the upgrade process,they're copying all Tools objects including the customized ones from the copy of DEMO to the copy of production(Initial Upgrade).
My question is that since all of our customizations are retained by following the above process,Do I really need to reapply or retro-fit any security related things.

It is important to make sure retrofits are performed after you have a delivered demo environment that is strictly Peoplesoft vanilla. This way, you can always reference back if you need to strip out the customization or bolt on. You should really analyze your customization and see if it is still needed based upon your business rules. It could be possible that the business rules have changed or delivered functionality has resolved the need.
